Today's storm turned out to be yet another fluke. We got ripped off again, but atleast no one predicted it to be big this time. Just some flurries and light sleet pellets are all we got here in Towson. We do have a chance for another storm Wednesday night into Thursday. I believe that it will be a fairly small storm. It's a clipper that will drop down out of Canada and move rapidly to our area. Clippers do not generally give us a good snowfall, but our temperatures will be just so cold. That means snow ratios could be 20:1 or 30:1. That means for every inch of precipitation, there is 2o or 30 inches of snow. This allows much more snow to fall in a shorter time period. We had a clipper earlier in the year, and it actually gave us about 3-6 inches of snow. That is considered fairly good for a clipper. The GFS model is trying the take the clipper over our area, and then blow up a big coastal storm. This is not very likely, but there is always a chance. If this were to happen, we could see much more significant accumulations depending on the track. Keep you fingers crossed.
